With the Louisville Cardinals crowned the big winner and March Madness behind us, we’ve identified our top three Transition Concierge participants taking home some awesome prizes for their expertise in bracketology, the artful science of predicting results of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Grand-prize winner Joseph Serritella earned himself an Apple iPad that we hope will aid in continuing his job search from just about anywhere he pleases. A close second place goes to Janet B., the new owner of a Kindle Fire. Morse Olsen took home the third-place title and an Apple iPod Touch.
Morse said she participated in the RiseSmart Challenge, “for the love of the tournament and bragging rights. Getting an iPod Touch was a bonus.” Asked about RiseSmart’s outplacement program, Morse said her biggest win was the resume and cover letter re-write. She also valued her connection with her personal career coach, Transition Specialist Jessica. Morse added, “She did a fantastic job staying in touch with me, setting up weekly appointments, keeping me informed with webinars, articles and other features of the RiseSmart online services.”
RiseSmart’s primary focus is helping transitioning workers find jobs fast, but we think it’s important to help our clients enjoy the process as well. That’s why we created the RiseSmart Challenge. Fun, light-hearted initiatives like this give transitioning workers in our outplacement program a chance to take a break from the daily struggles of their job searches and have a little fun.
