The Affordable Care Act has remained at the forefront of discussion across the country for the past several years. The legislation aims to provide more Americans with affordable quality health insurance and curb the growth in health care spending. By now, many politicians, health care officials, business owners, and ordinary citizens have all weighed in on the merits and challenges of the initiative. While many will continue to debate the method of health care reform for the foreseeable future, most agree that change is necessary and change is coming. Health care organizations may have to respond to the changes in a number of ways, and many will have to tackle a variety of corresponding workforce related issues.
At RiseSmart, we’ve been working with health care organizations for years. Health care organizations certainly haven’t generated the same level of layoff press as their counterparts across the corporate landscape, but like any organization, business conditions and restructuring initiatives periodically dictate a need to transition talent out of the organization. When that happens, many health care organizations turn to RiseSmart because of our experience in the field, but perhaps more importantly, because our personalized outplacement solution adapts very well to the unique needs of transitioning health care workers and the unique culture of health care organizations.
We believe we have the highest satisfaction and job landing rates in the industry. So given the importance placed on service and results by hospitals, we have always felt we are a good fit for this field. But if we wanted further validation, we just got it.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) represents nearly 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 43,000 individual members across the country. For over 100 years, the AHA has been representing and advocating for their members on legislative and business issues. Through the AHA Signature Due Diligence Process™, the AHA evaluates products or services to identify the best solution to recommend to its members. Given the workforce changes anticipated across the health care field in the coming years, the AHA recently decided to evaluate the outplacement industry with the intent to provide an endorsement.
Today, we’re excited to announce that upon reviewing all of the outplacement solutions available in the market, our RiseSmart Transition has earned the exclusive endorsement of the AHA. We’re excited that the AHA determined RiseSmart’s outplacement solution will solve the impending challenges facing the health care field, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the AHA to drive further innovation in support of this changing field. The unique insight we will gain by being an Associate Member of the AHA will prove an enormous benefit to the customers we serve and those that we will have opportunity to work with through this endorsement, and needless to say – a significant competitive advantage.
To the AHA, we thank you for awarding RiseSmart with this important endorsement. We look forward to a long and successful partnership to address the unique challenges and needs of your members.
